    Mario Brillinger holds a M.A. degree in agricultural science with the special subject of resource management from George-August-Universität of Göttingen, Germany. As a student research assistant he gained scientific experiences in the Globalands project as well as in the environmental and resource economics group from Göttingen. In the master thesis, he analyzed the market participation and commercialization potentials of small-scale farmers living in the conservation area of Javakheti, Georgia. His main research focus here includes the modeling of economic risks and impacts of nature-based solutions, cost-benefit analysis, economic valuation methods and new funding models.
